What Will the Harvest Festival Be?

Picking, cooking and eating straight from the Garden with Sam Clark of Moro cooking!

INCREDIBLY FRESH VEGETABLES - GARDEN TOURS - LIVE COOKERY - LOTS OF TEA & CAKE
The day went like this:

10.30-11.15am Competition entries brought to the marquee at Abbey Gardens for exhibition
12.15pm Opening & welcome speeches
12.30pm Guided tour/s of the garden, harvesting as went
1pm - 2.30pm Live harvest cookery demonstrations & tasting with guest chef Sam Clark from Moro
Competition judging
3pm Competition winners announced & cakes served

101 A Vegetable Sculpture - 12 yrs of age and under, 1st prize - Emily Copley (Sad Octopus/Jelly fish)
102 A Vegetable Sculpture - 13 yrs plus - 1st prize - Maria Benjamin
103 A Floral Arrangement on the themeof "What Will the Harvest Be?" - 1st prize - Dasha French ("excellent use of cauliflower")
104 A Garden-themed Home-made Cake or Traybake - 1st prize - The Keating Family
